The 21^st International Conference for Pastoral Care among Hard of Hearing

took successfully place in Oslo, the Capital of Norway

Conference theme:
Participation is possible – Making events accessible for hard of hearing people

The conference theme was the same theme as for our EU Erasmus+ project on various topics related to hearing loss and incluision that had been running for the previous two years, with work days in four countries and a serious of Zoom conferences between the partner organisations.

The theme was highlighted through lectures held by fr. Asle Ambrosius Dingstad, Vicar General of the Nordic Catholic Church in Norway, one of our Erasmus+ partners and psychotherapist Marie Farstad, as well as through various workshops.

42 persons from nine countries attended the whole conference. In addition we had a number of day visitors from Oslo.

Sunday morning the whole conference attended holy mass in St. John the Baptist Church in Oslo, experiencing a very fine and giving encounter with the parish members there, also during the following lunch in the parish hall.
